Kyle Rye
Pulpit Minister

Kyle began working with the Scenic Hills Church of Christ on February 1, 2004. He graduated cum laude from Harding University in 2003 with a degree in Bible and Religion and a minor in Psychology. Kyle is married to Sara (Hurd) who attended Harding University for three years before transferring to the University of West Florida where she is completing her degree in Elementary Education.
Kyle served as our Youth and Family Minister for 5 1/2 years prior to October 4, 2009 when he became our Pulpit Minister. Aside from his duties at Scenic Hills, Kyle directs a session and serves on the board of directors at Gulf Coast Bible Camp. He is the sponsor for a student organization entitled "Christians in Action
(CIA)" at the University of West Florida. Kyle is currently working on his Master of Ministry degree from Harding University.

Cody Bearden
Youth & Family Minister

Cody began working with the Scenic Hills Church of Christ on May 30, 2010. He is presently enrolled at the Chattanooga School of Preaching in Chattanooga, TN where he will complete his Preaching and Biblical Studies degree. Cody is married to Scarlett (Newton) who attended Athens Technical College in Athens, GA, and is now a certified Dental Assistant.
Prior to his arrival at Scenic Hills, Cody served for three years as the youth minister for the Boardtown Church of Christ in Cherry Log, GA. While there he was a director and counselor at the North Georgia Bible Camp, director for Vacation Bible School, and co-leader of multiple youth events and youth rallies.

Sharon Blanton

Sharon has been a member of the Scenic Hills church family since April of 2002 and has been on staff since June of 2003. Before assuming her present position, she was employed for twenty-eight years with BellSouth Telecommunications as an Engineer and Engineering Staff Manager.
Sharon is blessed with two sons, Chris and Greg Blackmon; six grandchildren, Chad, Ashley, Kaleigh, Lauren, Logan and Kendall. Chris and his family live in the Orlando area, and Greg and his family attend Scenic Hills. She has two sisters and their families who also attend Scenic Hills and an older sister who attends Milestone Church of Christ.
Sharon is the daughter of the late Henry Battle and Lavada Armstrong Redmon. She "grew up" at the Leonard Street congregation, where her father served as an Elder.
At Scenic Hills, Sharon is active in ladies activities as well as Stairstackers and Lads to Leaders & Leaderettes.
