Kelly Wheeler

Kelly graduated from Faulkner University with a B.A. degree in Bible. He received the V.P. Black Award as the Most Promising Bible Student in his class.
He has served congregations of the church in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. He has served as pulpit minister at Scenic Hills for the past seven years.
He is married to Beth Moorer Wheeler. They have three children, Billy (deceased), Matt, and Meghan as well as two grandchildren, Wade and Noelle.
He and his family have two goals for the family of God at Scenic Hills. First and foremost is the goal of spiritual growth, which involves the congregation growing closer to God and closer to each other as a spiritual family. The second goal is to grow numerically, because God cares about one soul as well as the ninety and nine (Luke 15:3-7).

Kyle Rye
Youth & Family Minister

Kyle began working with the Scenic Hills Church of Christ on February 1, 2004. He graduated cum laude from Harding University in 2003 with a degree in Bible and Religion and a minor in Psychology. Kyle is married to Sara (Hurd) who attended Harding University for three years before transferring to the University of West Florida where she is completing her degree in Elementary Education.
Kyle primarily works with our 6th-12th grade students and their families. He oversees Conquerors, our annual youth rally, and directs our Lads to Leaders program. Aside from his duties at Scenic Hills, Kyle also directs a session and serves on the board of directors at Gulf Coast Bible Camp. His stated purpose for youth ministry is to assist parents in developing a lifelong commitment to Christ in their teenagers.

Sharon Blanton

Sharon has been a member of the Scenic Hills church family since April of 2002 and has been on staff since June of 2003. Before assuming her present position, she was employed for twenty-eight years with BellSouth Telecommunications as an Engineer and Engineering Staff Manager.
Sharon is blessed with two sons, Chris and Greg Blackmon; six grandchildren, Chad, Ashley, Kaleigh, Lauren, Logan and Kendall. Chris and his family live in the Orlando area, and Greg and his family attend Scenic Hills. She has two sisters and their families who also attend Scenic Hills and an older sister who attends Milestone Church of Christ.
Sharon is the daughter of the late Henry Battle and Lavada Armstrong Redmon. She "grew up" at the Leonard Street congregation, where her father served as an Elder.
At Scenic Hills, Sharon is active in ladies activities as well as Stairstackers and Lads to Leaders & Leaderettes.
