1. Penny Avery is asking for prayers that the respiratory troubles she has been having will be solved soon. She had a lung function test that shows they are only functioning at about 50 percent. Her doctor was shocked and has gotten her in to see a specialist. She asks that we pray this new round of medication will work.
2. Travis Thompson's follow up visit to his doctor shows no improvement in his pneumonia. He had a CT scan on May 6th but doesn't have the results.
*3. Johnnie Walker has been moved to room 442 at West Florida. She is not expected to go home until next week. Judy is asking for prayers for her and the family at this time.
4. Ervin Brantley, Karen Kilpatrick's father, will have a heart cath on Monday, May 19th and have open-heart surgery on Wednesday, May 21st at 7:30am in Birmingham. His family is requesting prayers for him.
5. Rubye Miller's brother, Tommy Sanders, has been diagnosed with cancer. He lives in Tupelo, Mississippi.
6. Evelyn Scott is requesting prayers for two of her neighbors. Adell Rodeo has bladder cancer and Millard Carden has lung cancer. Evelyn said that Mr. Carden had surgery this week and isn't doing very well.
7. Sandy Strickland, Jared's sister-in-law, has stage 4 cancer. Tonya is asking for prayers for her as well as her husband, Justin.
8. Simone Elliott and Toni Tillman are requesting prayers for their sister, Carolyn Yonemura, who resides in Aurora, Colorado. She is now in stage four and the cancer is now spreading to her brain. Please continue to keep her in your prayers, and also their family during this time.
9. Dan Stewart, brother of Lillian Duncan of Winston-Salem NC, has taken a turn for the worse and was moved to the Immediate Care Unit Monday. He is still bleeding internally and due to his condition they can't do the tests to find where he is bleeding for fear he will bleed into his lungs. Also, he has developed pneumonia and his breathing is very labored. Doctors were not sure if he would live through the night. Also, remember Lillian and her siblings in your prayers as they prepare for whatever the future holds for Dan. Please continue to keep him in your prayers so he will be kept comfortable and that God's will be done.
*10. James Lee, our missionary in Franklin County, Florida, had another operation Thursday and it went very well. They drained a lot of fluid from his lungs. The doctor said Thursday was a good day for him and they hope to be able to take him off the ventilator in a few days. Due to Brother Lee’s condition, there will be a need for someone to fill in for him on Sunday’s. If you would be able to do this, please see Kyle.
11. Shirley Barnhill is requesting prayers for her husband. He has been diagnosed with arthritis of the spine and it is starting to "squish" his spine. She said that surgery will be required but they are not sure if any doctor in Pensacola will be able to do it. They have another visit with a local surgeon to see if he will operate but if not then they will have to go to Gainesville. She added prayer requests for her due to her medical conditions as well.
*12. Beverly White, Tim Duggins sister, has another mass on her kidney. She has had one before and it was cancer, so they are concerned about this one. She is to see a doctor tomorrow to find out if it is malignant. Please keep her in your prayers for good test results. She lives in Oklahoma City.
