Conquerors is the annual youth rally conducted by the Scenic Church of Christ. It is a free youth rally with no registration fee and housing provided by our members. The purpose of Conquerors is to provide a non-controversial setting for our teenagers to be spiritually prepared for the upcoming school year. Conquerors will take place on August 10-12 and our theme this year is "HisSpace."
Pre-registration is important because it is the only way you can receive free housing from members of our congregation and it is the only way you can guarantee to receive a t-shirt. Pre-registration will be available online and by mail. The deadline to pre-register will be Monday, July 30.
Conquerors is a free youth rally in that there is no registration fee. We will provide 4 meals for you (dinner on Friday and all meals on Saturday). Housing is provided by our members for those who wish to use it. The only cost you may incur is from the purchase of a t-shirt ($10.00) or from participation in a special activity (e.g. minor league baseball game). Both of these items will be pre-registered for and they are completely optional.
SPEAKERS AND TEACHERS
- Keynote Speakers
Our keynote speaker this year will be Lonnie Jones. Lonnie is a professional counselor and youth ministry consultant. He has a BA in Bible and a Masters in Counseling Psychology. He has been involved in youth and family ministry for 20+ years and is currently working with the youth at the Maysville congregation in Gurley, Alabama.
- Worship Leader
Our worship leader this year will be Jack Waldroup. Jack has served as our worship leader for the past 3 years. He has also served as the worship leader at Gulf Coast Bible Camp Senior Week and various Area Wide Devotionals on the Gulf Coast.
